The pub

The pub is a social drinking place and an important part of the British culture. Many places, especially in villages, is a pub the center in the society. Traditional games are played on the pubs, all from the known dart, to cones, to domino, to cards and billiards. The pubs offer more and more modern slots. And they have special events like tournaments in the games I said earlier, karaoke nights and quiz nights.

The school system

The education system in Britain is divided into four groups. The four groups is primary school education, secondary school education, continuing education and higher education. British children have to wear school uniform if the school has a uniform, and requires that the children have to wear it. Most schools requires the children to wear the school uniform but a few schools don`t.

Children in Britain have to go on primary school and secondary school from when they are five years old to 16 years old.

Each group of the education system has an specific year group. And the four groups is divided like this:

Year group 1; five to seven years old

Year group 2; seven to 11 years old

Year group 3; 11 to 14 years old

Year group 4; 14 to 16 years old

Year group 1 and 2 is where the children goes in primary school. Group 3 and 4 is where the children/youths go in secondary school. When the youths has finished secondary school they can decide if they want a higher education, or want to begin working right away.
