Digital bullying

Many kids get bullied through different social medias. On the internet the kids can share, comment and react to each others posts without letting them know who they are. Some kids write negative comments or messages to others, and it is not easy to interpret the feeling that is in the comments they send.

The researcher Danah Boyd think that it is three things that makes internet and social medias so dangerous. Firstly is the audience invisible, you cant see the people you are talking to. Secondly can everything be copied in a short time and sent further. Thirdly Boyd says that because everything can be searched on in the internet, everyone can find your secret if it is published on the internet.

Instagram is a photo sharing service that you can download on your telephone. There are examples that girls down in the age of 13-14 years have been bullied with name, photos and sex rumors on instagram.
